Short, and in plain language.

1. Who this is between

Kalvi, operated by AvanceZone of Sulur, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, and the school that holds the account. "You" means the school.

2. What you are buying

Access to Kalvi for one school, at the plan you chose, billed monthly in advance. Unlimited staff logins and unlimited parent logins are included at every plan. There is no setup fee.

3. Month-to-month

There is no minimum term and no notice period. Cancel whenever you like and you will not be billed again. We do not auto-renew you into an annual contract, and we will not ask you to sign one to get a better price.

4. Your data is yours

Everything you put into Kalvi belongs to your school. We hold it on your behalf, we act on your instructions, and we will give it back to you on request in a usable format. We will not withhold it over a billing dispute. See the Privacy Policy.

5. What you are responsible for

• The accuracy of what you enter — we do not check whether a mark or a fee is correct.
• Keeping staff logins to the staff they belong to, and removing people who leave.
• Having the right to hold the student and guardian data you put in, as the Data Fiduciary for it.
• Your own obligations under Tamil Nadu fee regulation and any other law that applies to your school. Kalvi helps you keep records; it does not make you compliant.

6. What we are responsible for

Keeping the service running and your data safe and separate, fixing problems you report, and telling you honestly when something is broken. We aim for the service to be available essentially all the time, but we are a small company and we are not going to print an uptime percentage we cannot yet evidence with a year of measurements.

7. What we do not promise

That the software is free of every defect, or that it will fit a requirement we have not discussed. If Kalvi cannot do something your school needs, ask before you buy — we would rather tell you no.

8. Price changes

Our prices are published. If they go up, existing schools get at least sixty days' notice by email, and you can leave before the new price applies rather than be moved onto it silently.

9. Ending it

You can cancel at any time from your account or by emailing us. We can end an account for non-payment after reasonable notice, or immediately if it is being used unlawfully. In either case you can ask for your data for ninety days afterwards.

10. Liability

If we get something badly wrong, our liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the problem. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction.

12. Changes

If we change these terms materially we will email account holders rather than quietly re-dating this page.
